Mission Hills

Mission Hills is home to some of the most beautiful, historic homes in San Diego. Founded in 1908, some of San Diego’s most acclaimed architects have helped craft Mission Hills into the gem of a community it is today. Most homes in Mission Hills have been lovingly restored to their original conditions and some of San Diego’s oldest trees line Mission Hills streets.

Local and renowned horticulturalist and landscape architect, Kate Sessions, strongly influenced the development of Mission Hills.  She also is credited with creating the Mission Hills Nursery which is still in business today.  If you have a gardening question, I highly recommend you stop by to see the friendly folks of Mission Hills Nursery.  They can help!

Just like its neighbors, Mission Hills hosts a local Farmer’s Market every Wednesday from 3-7 at the intersection of Falcon and Washington Street.  Tired from shopping for cantaloupe?  After leaving the farmer’s market you are in the hub of some of the best restaurants in Mission Hills.  Sushi, pizza, mouth-watering Italian are all just a short stroll away.

Real estate in Mission Hills ranges from the low $200,000’s to well over $3M.  Although most of the area contains single family, old craftsman homes, there is a handful of well throughout townhomes which offer something for everyone in Mission Hills.
